Where we should be at this point in the invention process :

At this point in time with the invention process of our invention here on this site as the ManMotor Project, you should compare it to your invention and where you may be in your own invention project. It would be an ideal situation at this point in the Patent Provisional Draft one, that several things have already taken place, and they are ;

(a) the product to come from the project is clear, the features are useful and new ;
(b) the product to come from the project was positively accepted by 80% of the people it was disclosed to ;
(c) those people after hearing the disclosed information were willing to purchase the end product for (x)cash ;
(d) the claims you contend your product will accomplish have been clarified ;
(e) a minimum of 26 pages (a to z) of text directly relating to your project , that you have written, and in specific,
        1.- why you thought of the idea or concept and when did you initially think of it,
        2.- what motivates you to continue and how do you claim your new and useful product should have merit,
        3.- a description of the new product to come along with a name for it ,
        4.- why you feel many people will purchase and use your product outcome from your project,
        5.- what people have told you regarding their view of your project product to come,
        6.- exact details of how the product can be used and made,
        7.- who your targeted audience or intended end user will be,
        8.- a total of time and materials to date including expences, total cash compensation dollar value.

(f) a scetch of the product invention just to point out the items involved ;
(g) drawings of all the items included in the scetch that your product is comprised of ;
(h) a detailed description of the invention that refers back to each drawing.

Before writing the first draft using your notes as prescribed above in text, you should already have one unit sold of your intended product, based on the description of it, and it's features to someone that will agree to purchase the first one off the manufacturing line. You need more than just the idea before anyone could ever feel a result or benefit from your actual end product to come, so you really need to be reassured at this point that after you do another half year of paperwork and expences that your not going to have a sad lost my idea story to tell others and relatives.

The picture above is of me almost thirty years ago, this picture was take at Kenny Roberts Ranch in Oakdale, California. I have been professionally inventing since before that picture by a couple years. Like that old picture, it does nothing except recite the fact that we really understand as to how our invention wheels are going to spin. There is alot of knowledge that comes with over thirty years of racing on two wheels. As the riding motorcyles is part of me, so is this patenting paperwork and design of the new and usefull invention(s), ManMotor and Electrociser.
